Intel officially announced the i7-8086K 5GHz Anniversary Edition CPU, quickly registering the sweepstakes

4Ghz speed and overclocking Turbo Boost up to 5Ghz.

Forty years after the release of the 8086 processor - the historic chip originated in the x86 architecture, Intel today announced a limited edition special to celebrate the chip's birthday, named Core i708086K. . This 8-core core chip is capable of overclocking up to 5GHz, while the default clock speed is 4Ghz.

Intel released this new Core i7 on June 8 - 8086 release date 40 years ago. Belonging to the K-series, Core i7-8086K has a multiplier of clock speed that can be changed in BIOS (unlocked multiplier) and ready to overclock to get higher speed.

The chip has six, 12-threaded, GPU Turbo speeds integrated like other chips of the 8th generation Core i7 line. The new chip has a limited number of only 50,000 chips (as planned).

Until now Intel has not announced a specific price. Because it is a limited edition special edition, Intel also says it is not sure if the product is widely available.
