How to turn off Research in Word
Research is a nice feature in Office, it helps you to look up dictionaries, synonyms easily. However, some people will find it useful, but others find it most troublesome for those who often use the Alt key and mouse. Step 1: Open Word, then press Alt + F11 to open the Visual Basic window as shown below.
Step 2: Press the key combination Ctrl + G to open Immediate command line window .
Step 3: Enter the following command and press Enter .
Application.CommandBars ("Research"). Enabled = False
After pressing Enter you press Alt + Q to exit.
Now you can try to hold down the Alt key and left click to see if the Research panel is still present.
