How to activate eSim on Apple Watch
Here's how to activate eSim on Apple Watch and the list of devices that can use eSim Viettel Apple Watch.
Viettel has officially confirmed the information of providing 4G eSIM for Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 4 (GPS and Cellular) running WatchOS 6.1.1 or higher and must support Viettel's band on its official website.

Instructions for installing eSim on Apple Watch
Conditions for activating eSim on Apple Watch
- Apple Watch must be Series 3 or above (Cellular + GPS version). WatchOS requires version 6.1.1 or above.
- Requires iPhone 6s or later running iOS 13.3 or later.
- Must be a Viettel subscriber and have Internet connection via mobile networks.
- Both iPhone and Apple Watch must support Viettel
Instructions for connecting Apple Watch to iPhone
To turn on your Apple Watch, press and hold the button on the side until you see the Apple logo.
Next bring your iPhone close to your Apple Watch, wait for the Apple Watch's pairing screen to appear on your iPhone, then touch Continue . Or open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then touch Pair new watch .
At the prompt, place your iPhone so that your Apple Watch appears in the Apple Watch app frame, then your device will be paired.
Touch Set up Apple Watch, follow the instructions on your iPhone and Apple Watch and complete the setup.
How to add eSim to Apple Watch
Before getting started you need to ensure that:
- Both your iPhone and Apple Watch must be updated to the latest version.
- Ensure that the subscriber operates normally and has enough money in the main account of the subscriber.
- Subscribers are not blocked 1 or 2 directions.
- Phone with Internet connection via wifi or mobile plan
Now enable eSIM in your Apple Watch by following these steps:
Step 1: On your phone, open the Apple Watch app
Step 2: Go to My Watch > touch Cellular
Step 3: Click Mobile Setup (Set up Cellular)
Step 4: Next, fill in your Identity Card number or Registered Citizenship / Passport number for your existing iPhone Number .
Step 5: Register to use the service on Apple Watch > agree to the Terms and Conditions to join .
Step 6: Next, congratulations interface shown as below is that you have activated Viettel's eSim on Apple Watch. Click Close / Close to start the service experience.
The Mobile icon will then turn green when you have a connection. The green dot is the signal that indicates your eSim connection.
The Mobile icon will turn white when your mobile pack is active. But your watch is still connected to the iPhone using Wifi and Bluetooth.
The features when using the service on Apple Watch are:
Use the same phone number, the same iPhone package when making voice calls without Bluetooth connection.
Use the same data capacity as the main SIM on your phone when you have an Internet connection from Apple Watch. You can make an emergency call to a pre-set number and send a message to your relative if you encounter a problem.
