Honor 30S 5G launched: Kirin 820, 4 64MP cameras, 40W fast charging, priced from 8 million

Honor 30S 5G is one of the first smartphones to feature Huawei's newly launched mid-range Kirin 820 processor.

Today (March 30), Honor has officially launched the Honor 30S - its latest smartphone in China. Although only a mid-range device, but Honor 30S is also equipped with 5G network connectivity and is the first smartphone using Huawei's newly launched Kirin 820 chipset.

Like its predecessor, the Honor 30S still has a glass back, curved at the corners with beautiful gradient gradations. In addition, it also has a fingerprint sensor on the side, using a perforated screen design but has a completely new cluster of 4 rectangular cameras.

Specifications and features

The Honor 30S is equipped with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), 20: 9 aspect ratio, and HDR10 support. The machine owns the hardware power comes from the Kirin 820 processor, combined with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 internal memory up to 256GB.

A little to say about the Kirin 820, this is Huawei's newly launched processor and is built on the 7nm process. This chipset has a total of 8 cores, including 1 Cortex-A76 core clocked at 2.36GHz, 3 Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.22GHz and 4 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.84GHz. This camera cluster includes the main sensor 64MP f / 1.8 aperture, super wide-angle sensor 8MP f / 2.4 and macro sensor 2MP f / 2.4. In addition, it also has an 8MP f / 2.4 telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom.

Price and release time

The Honor 30S is currently open for pre-order in China and is expected to hit shelves on April 7, as well as be available at Huawei stores from April 10. The device starts at 2399 yuan (about 8 million dong) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB version, while the more advanced version with 8GB RAM + 256GB of memory costs 2699 yuan.
