Noon, January 19, readers who visit www.vietnamnet.vn still have to wait a long time. Or, when you access the homepage, you cannot access the categories and articles inside. Even at this time, this website is not accessible.
Mr. Bui Binh Minh, Assistant Editor-in-Chief VietNamNet , said that this new phase of denial of service was large-scale. At peak times, there were 1 million queries, overloading the bandwidth, twice as much as this attack, on January 4.
Last week's attack, Minh said was the biggest denial of service attack in Vietnam and even the region.
Thus, it is clear that hackers have "established" a record of cyber attack in the most horrible way of denying service in Vietnam.
A cyber security expert said the attack was launched from a new computer network, with another server with a computer that had been involved in VietNamNet attack had been discovered earlier.
Currently, according to Mr. Bui Binh Minh, VietNamNet is asking domestic service providers to support. Rescuing technical staff is still urgently troubleshooting.
From 11/2010 to now, VietNamNet is always in a state of fluttering because hackers constantly stir. Related agencies have entered, but have yet to find the culprit.
