Google Commerce recently stated that the Google Checkout payment tool will be "retired" by the company on November 20, instead Google will focus on developing Google Wallet to become PayPal 's rival.

Google Checkout is a free online payment gateway from Google that makes buying and selling goods online easy and fast.

Users using Google services will be automatically converted to Google Wallet Merchant Center in the next few weeks. News about the Google Checkout collapse comes after a week of Google upgrading and updating some of Google Wallet features. These upgrades take advantage of some of Google's features to break PayPal's dominance in the online payment market.
