Google fixes a background image that crashes Pixel 2 / Pixel 2 XL

After 2 years of feedback and complaints from users, Google was finally acknowledged by the commitment to patch in the near future.

Pixel is a smartphone that is manufactured under the name of Google and always runs the latest Android versions. But for some unknown reason, many Pixel models have strange bugs (none or less likely on other devices). According to AndroidPolice , Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL users from the past two years have reported cases of some background images in the Google Wallpapers app on their devices causing the UI (UI) to hang and splash continuously, enough to turn off the phone.
Due to constant UI splashing, they had no way to change the wallpaper of their other phones and were forced to restore their phones to factory condition to be able to work normally again.
A user said that the first time he encountered a problem was when he activated the daily wallpaper change feature. After a few smooth transitions as expected, the device opens to an image that causes a constant UI splashing error, causing the device to completely shut down and booting into recovery mode with the message that the device's data may be damaged. broken. When you turn the phone back on, the only thing this person can do is unlock the screen and then the status of hanging and splashing UI continues.
Operating the device in safe mode also does not help because the background image that is causing the problem is still displayed. The next day, the picture doesn't change (though it should have been a day-to-day photo transfer). Despite many ways, users can not replace the other wallpaper and there is no way to bypass the lock screen to use the machine. The only solution is to return the device to the factory state, meaning the loss of all unsaved data (and also could not save because the machine crashes).
Even Pixel 3 XL users have recorded similar cases.
Recently, Google said it will remove UI splashing images from the wallpaper app, and develop a patch to prevent the situation from recurring in an upcoming Android update.
