Office is an office suite that seems indispensable for the business world. Most small stores have to rely on 3 applications Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

However, you do not need to use Office 2013, Microsoft's latest office application platform. Here are 4 reasons for why such a reason.

Picture 1 of Four reasons do not need to upgrade to new Microsoft Office

1. New interface must be re-familiar from the beginning

Once again, Microsoft has made significant changes in the Office interface. Although still in the traditional ribbon style, it also has some changes in how it works.

It is not necessarily a bad thing but it requires users to understand how to navigate as well as how you can spend time and money retraining knowledge for yourself or your employees when Use new Office.

2. Upgrading can be a hassle

With Office 2013, you may have trouble dealing with 2 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Microsoft says Office 365 licensing may include 32-bit and 64-bit applications, but if you're upgrading from Office 2010, you can't switch from installed versions. In other words, you cannot upgrade from Office 2010 32 bit to Office 365 64 bit version, and vice versa.

This is pretty absurd when Microsoft cannot serve existing customers who are using 32-bit Office to upgrade to a 64-bit version, but you can't change it anyway.

3. Still not available for Android or iOS

Although Office 365 supports mobile devices, it only supports mobile devices running Windows operating systems. That means you cannot install the application on an Android tablet or iPad. That option can be sympathetic to Microsoft, but will be detrimental to Office Mobile 2013 application when it launches to face many competitors Office applications for iOS and Android are available in the market.

4. There are alternatives with cheap and free prices

Perhaps, the biggest reason when moving to Office 2013 is the cost price. Although Microsoft is now starting to offer attractive subscription packages, the reality is that you can get other Office software sets that cost less, even for free. There is plenty for you to choose, providing 90-100% of the needs for most business users, not to mention the cloud-based Office applications are fully packaged like Google Docs and Zoho Docs.
