Facebook partnered with Qualcomm for high-speed wireless Internet

Facebook has just put Qualcomm on the WiFi gigabit Terragraph Project collaboration list.

Facebook has just put Qualcomm on the WiFi gigabit collaboration list with the aim of helping to transmit data through routers more efficiently and speed up network connectivity. The project, called Terragraph Project, is in the process of being deployed since Facebook first announced at the annual event for developers in 2016. The project is described as' a wireless system with many centralized networks. bring fast connection to densely populated urban areas'.

New Qualcomm chips will be integrated with Terragraph technology, so manufacturers can expect routers to send data at 60GHz, increasing bandwidth connectivity to higher speeds.

Qualcomm's representative described the technology as a solution for both urban and rural areas, where WiFi scores are heterogeneous in some areas. The actual test will start in the middle of next year, but it is unclear when the Terragraph Project actually comes into practice.

Qualcomm also announced that it is producing a small 5G chipset for phone operators and phone makers. They are working with the first partners, who are not sure who but based on the previous partnership, there will probably be Nokia and Samsung. These chpset templates will be available next year.
