Corel Draw: Drawing the icon of APEC Vietnam Conference 2006

On the occasion of the first Asia Pacific Economic Forum - APEC 2006 held in Vietnam, we will learn how to draw the official symbol of the forum this time.

Step 1 : Draw the upper half of the cone shaped icon

- Select the Bezier Tool then draw straight lines to create a triangle

- Select the node adjustment tool ( Shape Tool - F10 )

- Click on the bottom edge of the triangle, on the Shape Tool properties bar, select the Convert Line to Curve box then bend this straight line

- Select the image then right click and left mouse button on the yellow icon to color the background and the border

Step 2 : Draw the lower half of the cone shaped icon

- Similarly step 1 you select the Bezier Tool then draw a triangle

- Select the node adjustment tool ( Shape Tool - F10 )

- Click on the bottom edge or left edge of the triangle, on the Shape Tool properties bar select the Convert Line to Curve box then bend these straight lines

- Fill the background and border with blue

Step 3 : Draw the arc symbol

- Select the 3 Point Curve Tool then draw two bow lines that have the same beginning and end points

- Adjust the bow curve accordingly and fill it with yellow

Step 4 : Write the word

- Select Text Tool - F8 then write 2 words, APEC and VIETNAM 2006

- Choose Font and font size accordingly and fill it with red letters for APEC , blue for VIETNAM 2006

Step 5 : Complete

- Move the arrangement of images to complete the work

- Select all shapes, right click and select Group to group all shapes into a single image
