It can be said that Ophcrack is still one of the best free password breakers for Windows operating system. Perfectly suited to less experienced users with Windows operating systems, Ophcrack's interface is very simple and intuitive. Ophcrack's interesting thing is that you absolutely don't need to access Windows, or ask to run on Windows for a moment and still be able to break the password protected. Offline Program NT Password and Registry Editor, or ONTP & RE for short, has a completely different operating mechanism than many other Windows unlocking programs. More precisely, ONTP & RE will remove all the passwords it finds on the Windows installation partition. So ONTP & RE is more likely to group the program to reset Windows passwords, more accurately.

On how to install, ONTP & RE is similar to Ophcrack, that is, you download the installation file of ONTP & RE to your computer as an ISO file, then write to USB Flash drive, transfer the computer to boot mode from USB drive and follow the instructions. However, ONTP & RE works completely in the form of a command - comman (see illustration above), so you need to be aware of the steps that are misleading.

3. Kon-boot:

Similar to ONTP & RE, Kon-boot is a completely free Windows password recovery tool, with a different way of operating. That is, you download the corresponding ISO file of Kon-boot to the computer, write to USB> boot from USB and follow the instructions.

However, a very limited point of Kon-boot is not compatible with 64bit version of Windows operating system, similar to Windows 7, 8 or 10. It is extremely unfortunate, so it seems only left 32bit version of Windows XP and Vista is run by Kon-boot.

If you want to use Kon-boot for Windows 7 and 8, you have to use the Commercial version - the Kon-boot fee is lost.

4. Cain & Abel:

Cain & Abel is different from Ophcrack and some other Windows password reset tools require it to access Windows. It's also quite different from the three tools listed above, but it can break passwords up to 10 characters long, works well on Windows XP, 2000, NT and some versions of Windows Vista, 7 old version.

As for other versions of Windows Vista, 7. or more, Cain & Abel is completely out of hand.

5. LCP:

LCP is another Windows password recovery tool on the list, completely free and like Cain & Abel, this program also requires access to a certain Windows account to work. However, LCP is a rather old-fashioned program when it only works with Windows XP 32-bit versions.
