'Counterfeit' memory cards from well-known brands like Kingston, Transcend, Sandisk have appeared quite a lot and it is not easy to distinguish them without knowing how.

Kingston memory cards have two distinct ways: serial number labels and authentication. Labels on Kingston products have a triangular reflective area. This paint area changes color when viewed at different angles. Some computer parts stores say that Kingston's SD and MicroSD cards are now fake, but SD cards are easy to recognize because labels have a lot of difference between genuine and counterfeit goods. The second way is to distinguish through the verification function on Kingston website (kingston.com). Just get the product parameters such as authentication code or license key, enter the authentication box on the Kingston website to know whether the product is genuine or fake. However, this method only applies to goods purchased in full (full box).

Transcend memory cards have the fastest real and fake way of checking the serial number. 100% of the company's products have serial numbers. Enter the serial number (10 digits) on the product on Transcend's serial number authentication box (transcendusa.com), if the 'genuine' item will have descriptions of the product (eg Product Description: 2GB SD CARD = 7A; Warranty: Life Time Warranty). The product will appear in the words 'Sorry, no data found', understandably Transcend has no product with this serial number and that is not its product.

Sandisk products can be distinguished by labels. The front of the genuine Sandisk card has a slot underneath the card (counterfeit products are usually not available), with a white Sandisk logo on the red background when looking at the directions that will have yellow light. Counterfeit goods are more opaque white, lighter red and when there are no yellow lights. The wavy contours on the front of the 'smooth' Sandisk card are sharper, fakes are often dimmer due to poor print quality. This point is very recognizable if viewed through a magnifying glass. On the Sandisk card holder (in stock), there is a three-dimensional anti-counterfeit stamp like a counterfeit stamp on the Nokia phone battery. When looking at the anti-counterfeit stamp in the left side, there will be a dot on the side of the Sandisk logo, the right side will see 2 dots on the side of the logo, the top view will see 3 dots and the bottom will see 4 dots.
