The Wordpress.org plugin is "stuck" backdoor

Plugins are found by the WordPress development team to contain backdoors including AddThis , WPtouch and W3 Total Cache . Worryingly, these plugins have a large number of uses. AddThis has reached nearly 450,000 downloads, W3 Total Cache has surpassed 500,000 downloads and WPtouch (iPhone theme) has been downloaded more than 2 million times.

The WordPress development team says the owners of these plugins are not involved in inserting backdoor into their products but this is a work of hackers. The team also recommends that all users who have installed these plugins on their blog / website need to update immediately to the latest version immediately , along with re-checking the installed and reviewed components. Schedule access to the web host, administrator login schedule (admin).

All members who are using Wordpress.org must change their password to continue using the service, forum . Note not to use the old password or use the same password for many services .

This is the second time since the beginning of the year so the WordPress user community must be anxious about the risk of password leaks. In April, Wordpress.com also issued a warning to all bloggers using the service to change their password after a few hackers hacked into some of the blog's servers.
