Do you still remember China OS China OS (COS)? Once again, the interesting information about this operating system comes up and it is related to the famous smartphone manufacturer HTC.

There are rumors that the China OS is another version of the HTC Sense 6.0 interface developed by HTC for the Chinese market. However, this rumor has no basis, so far only one thing is for sure that China OS is very similar to HTC's interface.

What does China OS have to do with HTC?

Recently, on a Chinese online forum, a first smartphone running China OS has appeared. Surprisingly, this phone is none other than the HTC Butterfly S of China Mobile. Although running without operating China OS but this smartphone has the same parameters as the Android version, it still has a 5-inch 1080p screen, running Snapdragon 600 chip, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and 4 Ultrapixel camera.

From these leaked images, the Chinese operating system ( COS ) really looks like HTC Sense 5.5 running on most high-end HTC devices. Without saying that this is China OS, it will be difficult to tell the difference from Android unless you check the parameters of the operating system inside the machine.

Why is COS and HTC Sense based on Android the same? Basically, China OS and Android have the same Linux core. However the current COS version is only 1.26.1400.1 while the firmware version is 1.0.0.9088. It seems that COS is still on the very early stages of development.

China OS is a copy of Android?

In fact, the Chinese operating system is a project between the Chinese Software Science Institute and Shanghai Liantong Technology Company. Although COS looks like HTC Sense, Shanghai Liantong Technology Company reaffirmed that HTC does not participate in this project.
