A series of prestigious international writers praised The Platform - the recently released horror film that has reached the top 3 of Netflix Vietnam
'The Platform' - Spanish thriller just launched on Netflix has received rains of criticism.
Released in 2019, but after appearing on Netflix, the Spanish film The Platform has become a craze on social networks. The international press is full of praise and gives The Platform compliments. It scored 84% on Rotten Tomatoes and 73% on Metacritic - an admirable score.
The film is very high scoring
The Platform focuses on a group of prisoners held in an upright prison, with floors numbered from one to hundreds, from high to low. Each prisoner was allocated their daily food through a table filled with delicious food at the top and then stopped at each floor until reaching the bottom - if the people on the upper floor ate more than they needed. , when the table was translated downstairs, the prisoners there would have nothing to eat. The Guardian rated the movie 4/5 by calling The Platform a "bizarre film about a battle for food". Trang emphasizes that the movie is crazy and frightening with a fast-paced, yet thoughtful, social story.
The Forbes reporter called The Platform "the perfect fable for a pandemic". He added: "If you're suffering from anxiety when quarantined, this movie will not cheer you up, but it can make you realize just how comfortable your life is".
According to Polygon, The Platform is both a great horror film and the worst for an "in-home era". Although the film has limited space and techniques, The Platform is still impressive and memorable. While billions of people are currently quarantining themselves due to the flu epidemic, the film may feel "too genuine".
Collider praised The Platform as "one of the best horror movies in 2020". The movie page marked A- and was surprised to learn that this was the first film directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia.
IndieWire rated B- and compared it with Cube - an American horror film in 1997. The page also called the film "the metaphorical art of cannibalism of capitalism". The minus point of the movie is that the character has no depth and the latter is not very realistic.
