8. Michigan, Detroit Central Station

At the time of construction in 1913, this is the world's tallest railway station . This station was closed in 1988, but in late 1990 it opened.
Less than a year later, this station was closed for vandalism. Today, it is still closed and protected by national security forces.
7. City of Pripyat, Ukraine

Pripyat is a ghost town in northern Ukraine. On April 27, 1986, after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, the government asked people in the surrounding area to evacuate urgently and not to bring anything.
To avoid mass panic, people are promised to be able to return home as soon as possible. Today, this city is considered to be relatively safe to visit and there are some tourists participating in tours to explore around.
6. SS America

In 1941, the SS America was put into use as a military transport vehicle and changed its name to USS West Point. Years after the war, SS America was converted into a passenger vehicle. By 1980, the new owner of this ship had turned it into a prison.
In 1994, the USS West Point moved into the Atlantic storm and ran aground near the coast of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. After that, the crew on the ship was rescued by helicopter.
5. Discovery Island, Florida, USA

Discovery Island was built in Walt Disney World park in Florida state in 1974. It has become an attractive tourist destination when visitors can admire many local animals. In 1999, the site was closed and abandoned until now.
4. Hotel del Salto, Bogota, Colombia

The del Salto hotel in Bogota city was closed in the early 1990s due to a long construction process that reduced the number of visitors to the area. However, some rumors said that the hotel was the place where suicides occurred and the whole place was haunted.
3. Beelitz, Brandenburg, Germany Army Hospital

During the First World War, the German fascist army used Beelitz military hospital as the largest health care center for soldiers. This work was occupied by the Soviet Red Army from the end of 1945 until 1995. Adolf Hitler was one of the famous patients treated here. Locals and tourists say that the space around the hospital is very dark and mysterious.
2. Miranda Castle, Celles, Belgium

This Gothic castle was completely abandoned since 1991, due to the cost of repairing this building too large and not attracting investors. The director of the famous American drama " Hannibal " chose this castle to be the setting for the film.
1. Power plant of Charleroi, Belgium

In 2006, Greenpeace announced a number of negative reports about the power plant. The report said that the plant emits a large amount of emissions, accounting for 10% of Belgium's CO2 . Therefore, right in 2007, this factory must be closed and abandoned until today.
