6 Easiest Ways to Add Music to Videos on Your Computer
Windows 10 has built-in video and image editor right on your computer with simple customizations so you can process videos without needing video editing software.
Adding music to your video can take it from ordinary to unforgettable. Luckily, you don't need to install a bulky app to do it.
1. Adobe Express
You can do a lot of fun things with Adobe Express and it is especially great for creating short videos. It can be used when you want to create Instagram Reels and you can find a lot of songs available in the app. These songs cover a wide range of genres such as classical, acoustic and dance music.
To add music to your video, go to the Media tab and select the Audio option . Scroll through the library to find the music you want or upload your own by selecting Upload from device . Once you've added audio, you can trim and adjust the audio as needed. Share your final product with just one click using the Share button .
Note : While upgrading to Adobe Express Premium is recommended, you can still use this feature even on the free plan.
2. Canva
People often use the Canva mobile app to edit videos on their smartphones, but honestly, the web version of the app is better. Using Canva on your computer makes it easy to edit videos, whether they were shot with your phone or camera. Adding music is as simple and easy as using Adobe Express.
To add music to Canva, open the Audio tab in your project. If you don't see it, you can find it by searching for it under Apps . Once you've selected a track, you can tweak it with editing options like fade-in and volume.
3. CapCut Online
CapCut is one of my favorite video editing apps, and in addition to the AI tools, you can easily add music to your short-form and long-form content. The only problem is that you can't use the editor in Safari. If you have a Mac, you're better off using Chrome.
To add music to CapCut, go to the Audio tab , search for the desired track and drag it to the timeline.
To upload your own music, navigate to Media > Upload and select your audio file. Once uploaded, drag and drop it into the editing timeline.
4. Kapwing
Kapwing is one of the best online video editors and converters, and it has a lot of features when it comes to adding music to your videos. It lets you choose tracks based on the mood you want to convey, with plenty of options available even on the free plan. However, some tracks require a paid subscription.
To add music, go to the Audio tab and explore the Music section to find a track. Once selected, you can adjust the volume, tempo, and other settings for that track.
If you want to add your own music from elsewhere, use the Upload or Paste a Link option .
5. Video
Clideo is a simple video editing tool. Its search bar lets you find music based on mood or genre. You can also import music from cloud storage services, including Dropbox and Google Drive.
To add music, navigate to the Audio section , select the desired track, and make any necessary edits. If you want to use your own files, upload them directly via the Media tab and drag them into your project timeline.
6. FlexClip
FlexClip has a variety of tracks in the app that are easy to navigate by category. You can choose from movie, travel, YouTube, and more. Once you add a track, you can adjust the speed and volume or even split it into sections for precise timing.
To add music to FlexClip, open the Audio section and browse through the available tracks. Select the + icon to add the track to the timeline, then make any necessary adjustments.
FlexClip has a number of other editing tools to help you create great content, like live recording and AI captioning.
