Toshiba 'launched' 3D laptops in July

Electronics company Toshiba (Japan) said it will launch the Dynabook TX / 98MBL notebook model capable of displaying Blu-ray 3D images in July 2010 and based on a system 3D Vision by NVidia famous graphics card maker .

The system incorporates one of NVidia's GeForce graphics cards with a 3D Active-Shutter wireless shutter, a built-in signal transmitter to send synchronous signals to glasses and software.

Active-Shutter glasses turn off 60 times per second, matching the image displayed on the screen. The screen displays 120 images per second on different frames for the right and left eyes. These glasses will help separate the frames and send them to the correct eye. With this method, viewers will have the illusion of depth of image.

Toshiba's 3D laptop model will have a 15.6-inch screen and Blu-ray player that supports 3D movies. This computer uses Intel Core i7-740QM processor, GTS 365M chip, 630 GB hard drive, 4GB memory chip.

The price of selling these laptops has not yet been announced but it is expected that consumers will own this product when accepting about 250,000 yen (US $ 2,745).
