The Surface Go 2 will have a larger screen and thinner bezels than the previous generation
At the same time, the hardware configuration of the machine will also be significantly stronger than the previous generation.
Microsoft Surface Go 2 is nearing its launch date. Although nothing is sure, but there is information that this product will appear in May next. Thanks to benchmarks leaked not too long ago and validated by multiple sources, we already know almost everything about the CPU, RAM, and hard drive capacity inside the Surface Go 2. so what?
According to sources, the Surface Go 2 will have a 10.5-inch screen, which is larger than the first generation (10-inch), but the overall size of the machine will not change. The chassis of Go 2 will be identical to the Surface Go, from the size to the location of the connection ports. That means the keyboard and accessories designed for Surface Go will work perfectly with the Surface Go 2.
A larger screen means Microsoft may shrink the screen bezel of the device. Sources said the edge of the Surface Go 2 will be improved compared to the Surface Go, but not significantly. The edge of the Go 2 will certainly not be as thin as the border of the Surface Pro X, but instead will be similar to the screen border of the Surface Laptop 3.
Increasing the size of the image to 10.5 inches will also make the experience of using Windows 10 on Go 2 less crowded, especially when you often have to open multiple application windows at the same time. Finally, the screen resolution will be slightly increased to 1920 x 1280 (Go screen resolution is 1800 x 1200), so everything will look sharper.
Internal configuration
The Surface Go 2 is expected to start at $ 399 (the lowest version). With this money, you will have Intel Pentium GOLD 4425Y processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It can also support Wi-Fi 6. Like the previous generation, the Type Cover keyboard and the Surface Pen will be sold separately.
The good news for Surface Go fans this year is that Go 2 will have a more advanced version, using the Intel Core m3-8100Y processor with significantly improved power. The premium version will have 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, with optional LTE modem. We do not know the exact price of this version, but can guess it will be somewhere in the range of 500 USD.

The Surface Go 2 is expected to be a modest update over the first generation, with a larger screen (a bit), a thinner bezel (a bit), and a significantly more powerful CPU. Many people expect to see a version of Go 2 using ARM processors, but that is unlikely to happen. It is entirely possible that Microsoft will consider this processor on the Surface Go 3 in the future.
