MacBook Air 2011 has no change in style.

Apple's ultraportable laptop is introduced with significant enhancements such as the more powerful second-generation Intel Core i processor and Thunderbolt connector similar to the new MacBook Pro and iMac lines. In addition, the keyboard backlight is also a highly anticipated feature and has appeared on this new model.

However, in the latest poll from Cnet , the new MacBook Air still has some improvements to really convince users to put money to own them.

Here are the significant shortcomings at MacBook Air 2011.

Black option.

A lot of rumors before the launch said that Apple's new upgrade will come with a black option. Many users feel very excited about this information but in the end it did not come true. Increasing color is a way to attract more users, but even the first generation of MacBook Air, this doesn't appear.

SD memory card slot on 11-inch version.

There will not be much difficulty in production costs if the 11-inch MacBook Air version adds an SD card reader. However, the absence of this component is leaving many regrets for users. The reason given is that this model keeps the same thinness as the 13-inch version.

The 13-inch version has an incorrect screen resolution of 16: 9.

3G / 4G connection.

If MacBook Air has more 3G connectivity options and a sim slot, many users will have to spend money to own. This connection increases mobility for the device and makes users more active in many situations. This deficiency on the MacBook Pro is understandable because this model is built on a traditional laptop but is a significant shortcoming to the MacBook Air.

16: 9 aspect ratio on 13-inch version.

A rather confusing thing is that while the 11-inch version has a common resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, the 13-inch model is 1,440 x 900 pixels. This ratio is no longer suitable for most videos, games or other software with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels or 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

The default SSD capacity in the 11-inch version is still 64 GB.

The default SSD is larger than the 11-inch version.

Another rumor that has been repeated many times but does not come true, is that the SSD on the 11 inch version costs $ 999 is 128 GB instead of 64 GB. This default memory is similar to the previous 9 month version and it is considered by many to be short of minimum demand. However, this problem may lie in production costs because the price of solid-state drives is still quite high.

Besides the above shortcomings, MacBook Air lacks some other features that users expect, but it will be very unlikely for a "conservative " company like Apple. For example, the popular HDMI port in the context of the DisplayPort to HDMI jack is banned, the Apple-branded external Blu-ray drive or Blu-ray movie player supports third parties.
