Christmas has once again facilitated the dangerous computer worm, Storm Worm, to attack people using the Internet with dangerous new malicious codes.

Beginning yesterday (December 24), PCs infected with the Storm worm began to launch a new Christmas-themed spam attack campaign. The ultimate goal of this attack is to trick users into clicking on links attached to spam messages and accepting a new variant of the Storm worm.

Usually such malicious emails are often titled "Find Some Christmas Tail, Warm Up this Christmas' or" Mrs. Clause Is Out Tonight! ".

If the user clicks on the link attached to the spam they will be directed to a website with the Merrychristmasdude.com domain. Here users will see a picture of a girl with relatively few dresses and a link to download the image.

The fact below that link is the computer worm named F-Secure by the security firm F-Secure.Win32.Zhelatin.pd. This is a computer worm that creates a peer-to-peer connection and downloads more malicious code.

Since appearing in January this year until now, the people behind the Storm Worm have built a huge network of infected PCs helping them with sophisticated tricks to avoid detection. . Their ultimate goal is to take advantage of those PCs to perform offensive actions to gain illicit profits. Security circles estimate that there are now about 15 million computers globally infected with the Storm worm.

Internet users are advised not to click on any email sent from the Merrychristmasdude.com domain.
