Steam set a new record with more than 34 million concurrent online users

Valve's Steam digital platform continues to achieve impressive growth numbers, becoming a rare bright spot in the gloomy landscape of the global gaming market.

Just a few months ago, Valve proudly announced a record of 33.6 million concurrent online users on Steam. Today, that record continues to be raised to a new level, with the number of concurrent Steam users recorded reaching more than 34 million accounts.

Specifically, there were 34.298 million Steam users online at the same time, according to SteamDB data. Here is the list of the 100 games with the most players on Steam in the past 24 hours:

It can be seen that shooting games are still the genre that attracts the largest number of players on Steam. Among them, Counter-Strike 2 and HELLDIVERS™ 2 are the two leading FPS games in terms of the number of concurrent online players. The next positions belong to familiar games in the MOBA, RPG and Survival genres. Specifically, Dota 2 ranked 3rd with 294,709 players at the same time; Last Epoch ranked 5th and especially the famous name recently - Palworld ranked 6th.

The new record of users shows Steam's strong growth in recent years. According to predictions of game site DSOGaming, Steam could reach a record of 35 million players at the same time in the third quarter of 2024.
