The three new Sony laptops use the Centrino 2 platform, in which the FW series has a 16: 9 aspect ratio, and the Zs can use both integrated graphics and discrete graphics, while the SR series satisfies 3 needs: work - entertainment and fashion.

Sony changed the meaning of the acronym VAIO to the 'smart audiovisual machine' instead of the 'audiovisual machine' as before. At the same time, they also introduced three new programs that optimize the performance of upcoming laptops.

First of all, VAIO Media Plus supports the simple connection between a laptop and a home digital device. Music Box uses 12-chord analysis algorithms to categorize the tracks more accurately based on the chord, the speed, the emotional state of the singer and the melody. Thus, instead of arranging songs by artist or album name, users can choose songs based on mood. Movie Story is a professional video clip creation program.

3 new laptops (VAIO FW, SR and Z) have been equipped with the above software.

The VAIO FW series are highly entertaining models. It includes machines with a 16.4-inch screen, 16: 9 aspect ratio. With these laptops, you can watch full-screen movies in full-screen mode without encountering black borders above and below, as seen in 16:10 screen monitors.

VAIO FW has HD signal output (high resolution) but the screen is only limited to 1,600 x 900 pixels and is not able to be upgraded to full HD so even if the movie has a high definition, it is not seen differences on these machines.

The Z series is an upgraded version of the VAIO SZ machines - this is the first line of laptops to use both discrete and integrated graphics. Unlike its predecessors, SZ machines can switch between the two types of cards without having to reboot. The reason for this is because the Centrino 2 platform has been able to support both types of graphics cards simultaneously.

In terms of design, the case is covered with a layer of carbon fiber so it is more solid but lighter and the price is a bit higher.

The SR satisfies all three needs - play, study and 'display'. That being said, because the SR machines are designed quite beautifully, it has a Switch button to switch from personal user mode to entertainment or professional. The desktop screen and the short cut keys also change with each of these modes.

These laptops have a price that matches the brand and technology that it owns. FW machines have a starting price of US $ 1,840, SR is US $ 1,619 while the Z series has no price. It is expected that the first two versions will be released in August and the latter will be available in September.
