Along with the Intel microprocessor models, Samsung recently expanded its Series 5 series with hardware using the new AMD generation Trinity code-named Series 5 535AMD with two versions of screen size of 13.3 inches and 14 inches.

As a variant from Samsung's famous Series 5 laptops, this model is just a variant of ultrabook models despite still having the same ultra-thin and light design. The difference lies in the use of AMD processors and traditional HDDs instead of Intel and SSDs, so the price is lower even though the performance is still strong and meets many consumers. The price of Series 5 ultrathin in Vietnam market is expected to range from about 15 million to 16 million compared to the average of over 20 million dongs of other ultrabook models.

Both new Series 5 535AMD versions have a strong configuration. 13-inch model with AMD A6-4455M processor clocked at 2.1 GHz, 4 GB RAM (up to 8 GB upgrade), discrete AMD Radeon HD 7500G graphics card and HDD capacity up to 500 GB speed 5,400 rpm. Meanwhile, the 14-inch version is even more powerful with 4-core A10-4655M processor with 2 GHz speed, 4 GB RAM (up to 8 GB upgrade), AMD Radeon HD 7620G discrete graphics card and Optional hard drive capacity up to 1 TB.

Although the configuration changes, the new version 5 Series 5 535AMD retains its impressive design with a thickness of 17.6 mm, weighing 1.52 kg in 13-inch and 20.9 mm versions, weighing 1.81 kg in 14 inch version. The most interesting point is that the 14-inch version has an extra optical drive, which is rare in ultra-thin, ultra-portable models on the market today. Both versions of Series 5 ultrathin have a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, brightness reaches 300 nit (more than regular laptops, which are only about 250 nit or lower). This laptop is also used Samsung anti-glare technology to make good use outside.

In addition, the duo also has full connectivity ports including the latest HDMI, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN, memory card reader, Bluetooth 4.0 and standard Wi-Fi. Do not use SSD but both versions integrate Fast Start technology that allows booting from standby in just 2 seconds. The battery life of Series 5 ultrathin is reported to be about 6 hours.
