Redmi Note 9S launched in Vietnam: Snapdragon 720G, 48MP camera, 5020mAh battery

Today (March 23), Xiaomi has launched a new mid-range smartphone model in Vietnam market, called Redmi Note 9S. Basically, this is considered a renamed version of Redmi Note 9 Pro, which was introduced in India on March 12.

Specifications and features

Redmi Note 9S has a dorsal surface made of 3D curved glass, while the front has a perforated screen design with a "mole" in the middle, which Xiaomi calls "Tiny DotDisplay". Both the front and back of the device are protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5, which is extremely resistant.

The phone is equipped with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen, supports Full HD + resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and accounts for 91% of the front. In addition, the screen of the device also has a brightness of up to 450nit, supports HDR10, 84% NTSC color range and has low blue light certification from TUV Rheinland.

Inside, the Redmi Note 9S carries the hardware power of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 720G processor, paired with LPDDR4x RAM up to 8GB and UFS 2.1 internal memory up to 128GB. On the other hand, it also allows users to expand the storage capacity up to 256GB via microSD card slot.

Moving to the back, the Redmi Note 9S is equipped with a 4-camera system housed in a rather striking square module. The camera cluster includes a 48MP f / 1.8 main sensor, an 8MP f / 2.2 super wide-angle sensor with 119-degree viewing angle, a 5MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. In addition, the machine also has a 16MP camera placed in the "mole" on the front to take selfies and video calls.

Redmi Note 9S comes with a large capacity battery up to 5020mAh, supports 18W fast charging. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the side, has nano moisture-proof coating, infrared sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, uses a USB-C connector and comes pre-installed with Android 10 operating system with MIUI 11 interface when sold.

Price and release time

As expected, Redmi Note 9S will be officially launched in Vietnam from March 27 with three color options: Ice White, Aurora Blue and Galaxy Gray. The phone starts at 5.49 million VND for 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM version, the first sale only at Lazada. Meanwhile, the more advanced version with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of memory is sold exclusively at Mobile World system.
