Facing the attraction of the Internet, many employers were dissatisfied with the fact that employees were distracted by the constant updates of their friends on Facebook, Twitter or funny links sent via chat .
However, research by the University of Copenhagen confirms that spending time relaxing on the Internet is actually effective. The participants were divided into two groups with the task of counting the number of balls passed. But before that, group 1 was able to watch a funny clip and group 2 also received a link, but it was announced that they were not allowed to watch and had to work on it.
The results showed that the group watching comedy videos had fewer errors than the group forbidden to watch. Some argue that such a small test cannot represent all. However, Danish researchers say they just want to prove that restrictions on the Internet in the long run will make employees less focused and less effective.
The New Yorker (USA) suggests, if it is not possible to allow the Internet to be comfortable, companies should set a time limit for certain networks so employees can do what they want. Like at Google, each person is allowed to spend 20% of their working time "enjoying life ".
