A group of doctors successfully operated Manju Devi, a 28-year-old woman from Darbhanga district of Bihar, who suffered pain from a abdominal tumor.
According to the report, the tumor is 5.5 kg, 50 times heavier than the weight of a healthy kidney, weighing about 110 to 140 grams.
Because of a 31cmx 19cm tumor, the woman suffered severe pain during the past three years.
A CT scan was performed to show that the large tumor had completely occupied the right kidney.
The quality of life of this unfortunate woman is compromised, having many difficulties in daily life before surgery.
The Guinness World Records Foundation recently affirmed the new record achievement of this team of doctors.
