With a rapidly declining market share in the web browser race since Google Chrome was released in late 2008, Mozilla has captured the situation and wants a replacement with Mobile Safari. The Firefox release manager said: "We need users in many places , " "So we'll have Firefox on iOS."

Mozilla has often expressed disinterest in Firefox for iPhones and iPads because of Apple's strict requirements that third-party web browsers must rely on their own WebKit web engine . Mozilla has its own sophistication and rendering tools they use for Firefox, so they feel their web browser experience won't be appropriate on iOS devices.

Apple recently changed WebKit on iOS 8 to allow all web browsers to have the same level of performance as Mobile Safari, although the company still doesn't know if Mozilla Firefox will bring it to iOS. It is likely that Mozilla is forced to use at least some of Apple's technology when developing its web browser.

Besides, iPhone and iPad users will not be able to set up third-party web browsers as default. And for that reason, competitors with Mobile Safari like Chrome or Opera did not do much more in web browser builds. However, it is likely that Firefox can attract Apple users with features such as continuous bookmarks and password synchronization.

Information does not give the exact time frame Firefox will be released for iOS but hopefully it won't take too long.
