How to fix the error of creating Password Reset Disk Windows
Case 1: There is no option to create a recovery password
When you access Control Panel and go to User Accounts on the computer, you don't see the option Create a password reset disk.
The option to Create a password reset disk will only be displayed to the Local Local account to set the computer access password. If you do not see this option, please check that you are logged in to Windows with your Microsoft account. You need to exit your Microsoft account and log back in with a local account.
Case 2: The option does not work
When you click the Create a password reset option, but the password creation process is not displayed, the option does not work and stops at the Forgotten Password Wizard interface.
Step 1:
First press Alt + Tab to open the task on your computer and see the Forgotten Password Wizard interface. Click the red X icon to close this interface.
Step 2:
Right-click on the Taskbar and select Task Manager .
In the task manager interface on the computer, go to the Forgotten Password Wizard and then click and press End task to stop this activity on the computer.
Finally, click the Create a password reset disk option again to create a recovery password.
