How to choose ceramics

When buying ceramics, tap them with your fingers, if you hear a metal clatter, they are good . If it sounds dull and heavy, it is a poor quality item.

There are three ways to choose a rice bowl, plate and porcelain tray: look, knock and face down.

Look - Observe the outer surface of the ceramics to see how bright or dull the color of the enamel is, how fresh or dark, how dark or light the drawings on them are. Check for any black spots or cracks on the ceramics.

Knock - Use a small chopstick to gently tap the side of the bowl or the edge of the plate or tray. If the sound is crisp and clear, then it is good ceramics, if the sound is opaque or mixed, it shows that there is some crack on the ceramic body that you have not seen.

Flip - Turn the bowl or plate upside down on a flat surface, or turn them upside down to see how the roundness is distorted. If the object is made round and balanced, when facing down, it will not be distorted. In addition, you also need to pay attention, with rice bowls and porcelain bowls, you should choose a high base type, because this will avoid burning your hands and make it easier to hold when holding.
