The TrueDepth front camera of iPhone X is said to be one of the main causes of this delayed production. Therefore, it is believed that Apple has allowed suppliers to "reduce the accuracy" of the technology, so that the production process is less difficult.

The rumor also said that Face ID, despite being reduced correctly, is still safer than Apple's previous biometric method, or Touch ID fingerprint sensor. However, this rumor still surprised many people because Apple pays great attention to the quality and importance of iPhone X.

According to Bloomberg sources, the difficulties in manufacturing are partly because Apple insisted on bringing their advanced technology into the phone in accordance with their iPhone 2-year production and development standards. The supplier said that Apple had underestimated the difficulty of bringing new technology into the desired model.

This is the reason why iPhone X production is longer than we thought

Suppliers complained that they struggled to find high-quality components and the production speed was therefore very slow. Laser supplier Finisar Corp had to give up and made Apple dependent on other partners.

It is said that Apple also reduced the specifications that Face ID needed and helped speed up the production process.

IPhone X production rate is about 400,000 units per week but this is still a low figure when compared to the number of orders, about 50 million units. According to the forecast of Ming-Chi Kuo analyst, only about 2 to 3 million iPhone X was born on November 3. Nikkei said Apple will only get 20 million units by the end of this year.

Apple declined to comment on these rumors.
