Today, the world's second-largest computer maker has launched the ultra-durable Latitude E6400 XFR laptop with a touch screen. It can withstand strong impact, anti-dust, water spill .
This is Dell's first laptop in the ultra-durable computer market, to compete with Lenovo and Panasonic. Dell's 'copper pot' laptop is designed to meet US military standards. The target audience is military personnel.
The Latitude E6400 XFR can work well in rain or dirt, and can also withstand temperatures from -340C to 630C. In addition, this computer also works within 1 hour at an altitude of 4,500m.
Dell said the E6400 XFR is designed to withstand the pressure of falling from a height of about 1.2m when inactive and 91cm in operation. The LCD screen of the machine is very well wrapped for shock and impact resistance.
The chassis of the laptop is made of high-strength material, often used to produce ballistic shells. The Latitude E6400 XFR's premium polymer is 2-3 times more durable than the magnesium alloy still used to make laptops today.
XFR uses Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 14.1 inch screen, weighs 3.87kg and has 6 cell battery, 120GB SSD hard drive. It also has integrated graphics card, RAM 8GB, Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity and GPS positioning antenna.
The Latitude E6400 XFR will ship on March 10, priced at about $ 4,299. This laptop has a 3-year warranty and the broken screen will be replaced immediately.
