On Windows 10 you can access to activate and disable Airplane mode quite simply and quickly by clicking on the Action Center icon in the Taskbar and then clicking on tile Airplane mode.

Like other features, when you activate airplane mode (Airplane mode or Flight Mode), the flight mode icon will appear in the Taskbar system tray.

But in many cases when you have turned off Airplane mode, the airplane mode icon still appears in the Taskbar. In this case, you can apply 1 of 3 simple ways below to delete Airplane mode / Flight Mode icon in Taskbar in Windows 10.

Method 1:

Step 1:

Open Task Manager by right-clicking on any space on the Taskbar and then clicking Task Manager.

Step 2:

After Task Manager opens, click More detail to open the full version of Task Manager.

Step 3:

Under the Process tab, find the Windows Explorer option. If you can't find the Windows Explorer option, you can create Windows Explorer by opening any folder or opening This PC (My Computer).

Next right-click Windows Explorer then select Restart to restart Windows Explorer.

This process will refresh the entire icon in the Taskbar. At this time, the aircraft icon (Airplane) no longer appears on the Taskbar if you have turned off airplane mode.

Right-click any space in the Taskbar and then select Properties to open the Taskbar and Start Menu dialog window.

In the Taskbar tab, check the Auto-hide the taskbar option and then click Apply to hide the Taskbar.

Step 3:

Now proceed to uncheck the Auto-hide the taskbar item that you selected earlier and click Apply . Now on the screen you will see the Taskbar appear.

If you have turned off Airplane mode before, on the Taskbar you will no longer see the airplane mode icon appear.

Method 3:

If after the above two ways, the Airplane mode icon still appears, you need to check if Airplane mode is turned off properly.

Open Settings and choose Network & Internet => Airplane mode and then check the status of Airplane mode is ON or OFF. If you are in ON mode, you turn OFF .

After turning Airplane Mode off, proceed to restart your computer.
