Couple of high-end entertainment laptops from Acer

Aspire Ethos 5943G and 8943G stand out thanks to the stylish design and powerful configuration with the Core i7 processor and ATI discrete card .

It was introduced almost 2 months ago, but at Computex 2010 is the first time Acer has let users see their high-end products firsthand. The two models of the series introduced are the 5943G (15.6-inch screen) and 8943G (18.4-inch screen) and the Cinematic Surround 2.1 or up to 5.1 in the 8943G model.

Different from the version that appeared on the previous Pocket-lint site, at Computex this time, both were introduced with the strongest hardware configuration with a 1.6GHz Core i7-720QM processor. However, 5943G "only" has 4GB DDR3 RAM memory, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card, 8943G features DDR3 to 8GB of RAM and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 graphics card.

The Aspire Ethos line was sold this month at a starting price of around 1,650 USD (for the model of Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive, Blu-ray optical drive).
