Within 2 years of use, the HP laptop's broken capacity is about 16%. While this number for Asus products is just under 10%. From the chart above, the laptop of Toshiba, Sony and Apple is more reliable than laptops from Acer, Dell and Lenovo.

Within 3 years, the possibility of a Asus laptop failure is 15.6%, and HP's is up to 25.6%. In SquareTrade's research, the main causes of failure are mostly related to laptop hardware, not to user factors.

In addition, netbooks priced under $ 400 often use inexpensive materials in manufacturing with a high failure rate in the first three years of use, up to 25.1%. This result in affordable laptops is 20.6%, while for high-end laptops costing over $ 1,000 only about 18.1%.
