Apple Announces New iOS, iPadOS, WatchOS, and macOS Launch Dates

Apple has just announced the schedule for the WWDC 2022 event. Accordingly, WWDC 2022 will be held online from June 6 to 10. Developers, technology enthusiasts, and consumers alike who are interested in upcoming updates and new features on Apple's operating systems should rate it.

Like Microsoft's upcoming Build 2022 event (scheduled to be from May 24 to 26), Apple is not yet ready to host WWDC in a live format. WWDC this year will be the third developer event that Apple holds online due to the impact of the pandemic.

Building on the success of two online events over the past two years, WWDC 2022 will continue to showcase the latest innovations in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Here, developers will have access to Apple engineers and technologies to learn how to create the best apps and the most intuitive experiences.

"WWDC has always been a forum for making connections and building community," said Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of developer affairs, enterprise, and education. "In that spirit, WWDC invites developers from around the world to come together to discover how to bring their best ideas to life and drive what's best. We love connecting. with our developers, and we hope everyone involved feels energized by their experience."

The average consumer is mostly interested in the opening session of WWDC on day one, where Apple will introduce new iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS. Meanwhile, developers will have 5 days to learn about Apple's new capabilities and tools. As an online event, WWDC 2022 will be open for free with lots of sessions and mini events to help developers hone their skills.

Apple also promises that WWDC 2022 will feature more local content to truly become a global event. Notably, Microsoft also announced the same thing will happen at Build 2022. It's good to see Microsoft and Apple find ways to make online events reach more users globally.
