All problems with PST, Profile, Add-in ... errors on Outlook and how to fix them

Outlook 2016 is one of the best email applications on Windows operating system and is quite popular among users. Like many other e-mail applications, in the course of using Outlook users cannot avoid errors. One of the common errors in Outlook such as Outlook error freeze, PST error, Add-in error, Profile error, slow response error . In the following article, Network Administrator will guide you how to fix as well as fix these errors.

1. Outlook add-in is faulty

Most errors on Outlook are due to poor add-ins installed with Outlook. Add-ins can cause errors such as not opening Outlook, even "freezing" Outlook errors, Not respoding errors.

To fix the Outlook Add-in error you can refer to some of the following:

- Option 1:

Open Outlook and disable the Add-in:

Outlook 2003: Go to Tools => Options => Advance => Add-in Manager.

Outlook 2007: Tools => Trust center => Add-ins.

Outlook 2010: File => Options => Add-ins . Here you find the COM Add-ins option and uncheck all add-ins and select Exchange add-ins and disable it from there as well . Finally close Outlook.

In some cases, it is impossible to close Outlook, you can open Task Manager, then switch to the Process tab, find Outlook.exe and kill the program.

Finally, reopen Outlook to check for errors.

- Method 2:

Download Officelns to your device and install.

Download 32-bit Officenls to your device and install it here.

Download 64-bit Officenls and install it here.

Close Outlook on your computer, make sure Outlook does not run on Task Manager. Next open Officelns that you just downloaded and installed.

Select the Add-in then right-click the Add-in and find the Change Start Mode option and select Disabled , then select Next Change Connect Mode and select No.

Follow the same steps to disable all Add-ins. After disabling all add-ins, open Outlook and check if Outlook is still corrupted.

- Method 3: Disable Add-ins from the Registry

Note: For users who have a lot of experience should "apply" this way.

First enter Regedit in the Search box on the Start Menu to open the Registry.

Click Computer, then go to File => Export , enter File name as Registry back and then click Save . Then navigate by the path:

1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftOfficeOutlookAddins (32- Bit)
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeMicrosoftOfficeOutlookAddins (64-Bit)

Under the Addins key you will find a list of add-ins. To delete these add-ins, simply highlight the add-in then right-click and choose Delete .

To temporarily edit the add-ins, in the right-hand pane you will find the value named Load Behavior and double-click on that value, change the value in the Value data frame from 3 to 0 and click OK. .

2. Error PST file in Outlook

Microsoft Outlook has a tool called "SCANPST.exe" that is used to scan and fix PST-related errors.

Select the PST file using the Browser button and select Start . Usually the scanning and error correction takes place over a long period of time.

3. Outlook profile error

Most Profile errors cause Outlook to be unable to open or error in Outlook. To check you can create a new Outlook Profile.

To create a new Profile go to Start => Control Panel => Mail.

Then select Show Profiles.

Select Select Add and then enter a name for the new Profile, then set up an Email account then click Finish .

Under Always use this Profile, select the new Profile name then click OK . Reopen Outlook and check for errors.

Next move all old PST from all emails to new Outlook Profile. Go to Control Panel => Mail => Email Account and select the Data tab.

Here you select Add and Select the Old PST File . Then select S et as Default and proceed to reopen Outlook to check.

4. Office Diagnostic

Office Diagnostic is one of the solutions to overcome effective Outlook errors: errors related to Outlook settings, or file errors related to Outlook errors.

To run Office Diagnostic:

- Outlook 2003: Go to Help and select Detect and Repair.

- Outlook 2007: Go to Help select Office Diagnostic or go to All Programs => Microsoft Office => Microsoft Office Tools => Office Diagnostic.

- Outlook 2010/2013/2016: On Office 2010, Microsoft deleted this option and replaced it with the Automatic Repair option.

1. On any Microsoft Office 2010 application, click the File tab and then click Options.

2. On the Options interface, select Trust Center and then choose Trust Center Settings .

3. On the Trust Center Settings interface, select Privacy Options in the left pane.

4. In the Privacy Options section, look to the right pane and select Download a period file that helps determine system problems.

5. Click OK to save the changes.

If Outlook still doesn't work, go to Program and Features , in the list of options in the left pane, select Microsoft Office 2010 and click Change.

On the Change interface, select Repair and then select Continue .

5. Fix Outlook errors with commands

Go to Start => Run => Outlook / Switch.

- Outlook / Safe : Open Outlook in Safe Mode.

- Outlook / Resetnavpane: Reset the Control panel navigation panel. The command is often used to fix some problems such as not being able to open Outlook, .

- Outlook / resetfolders: Restore folders that have lost their default addresses.

- Outlook / cleanreminders: If Outlook is "frozen" when opened for certain notifications.
