What's special about the new plan to remove Microsoft's 2019 Win32 applications?
According to information from Windows Central, Microsoft will release a free version of Windows supported by the UWP application called Polaris.
The x86 Win32 platform is putting Microsoft in a dilemma. It is both the greatest success in most offices and households around the world. But it is also the biggest obstacle of this technology company because this platform is not safe, difficult to manage and make money.
Microsoft has released other versions such as Windows RT and Windows 10 S to move users to a better controlled platform. But before 8 million Win32 applications were always rampant and often free online, every attempt failed.
Despite failures many times, Microsoft still did not give up. According to information from Windows Central, Microsoft will release a free version of Windows supported by the UWP application called Polaris.
This new operating system from Microsoft will remove redundant components from Windows 10, Windows Shell and file browser. It also adds C-Shell and a UWP version for all applications. It seems that the target Polaris is aiming to is those who work on web browsers and promise to deliver better battery life, with greater security and performance.
However, with Polaris users will be stuck with this operating system that cannot upgrade to a more advanced version.
In fact, users will choose to buy a Chromebook if they have to downgrade Windows into a UWP and Edge machine. Because of the Chromebook, they will have Chrome installed, and that's not to mention the numerous Android apps through Google Play Store.
Perhaps the way Microsoft makes Windows easier to use still has a lot of problems.
