From the end of May, a dangerous virus variant called W32.XFileUSB, capable of erasing all data on the victim's USB is spreading strongly in Vietnam.
According to Bkav's statistics, there are about 1.2 million Windows computers in Vietnam that are infected with this dangerous virus.
W32.XFileUSB spread by deleting the data saved on the USB. Then, the malicious files will fake a drive icon or forge a shortcut of the data file on the USB to trick users into clicking. The virus is then activated and continues to spread to other machines.
Not only did it cause data loss, W32.XFileUSB also took control of the computer to download more malicious code to implement the spy spies, even expanding targeted attacks (APT).
