Customers waiting for the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix laptop won't have to wait long. Lenovo's latest laptop hybrid tablet running Windows 8 will be shipped in early March, according to a Lenovo spokesman. ThinkPad Helix will be distributed worldwide but with different availability levels in each country.
Introduced at CES last month, Helix was originally expected to go on sale in late February. Later there was information from Lenovo that the time for this laptop would be delayed until March or April.
Helix is a new member joining a hybrid laptop group that can be converted into a growing tablet.
Cnet technology site said, Helix's 11.6-inch screen can be detached from the keyboard to act as a standalone tablet. You can also mount the monitor to a dock in both directions, rotate the screen in to use as a laptop, turn the screen out to serve for a small group presentation.
ThinkPad Helix touch screen has 1920x1080 px resolution, supports data entry, pen control. Lenovo also provides Helix with a huge configuration option like the Core i7 Ivy Bridge chip, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. Helix's price is quite expensive, starting at 1499 USD (about 31.4 million VND).
