Scientists in Israel have published a fever report that shows a completely new butterfly has just been discovered after more than a century.

Accordingly, the new butterfly has the scientific name Fritillary Acentria, which was discovered when they flew over Mount Hermon in northern Israel.

Russian animal researchers have initiated the study of Israeli butterflies since 2012. In 2013, they collected some chalk samples from the butterfly wings at Mount Hermon. However, at that time it was difficult to identify, they found that many samples were not similar to typical Persian butterfly patterns.

Recently, they further studied the newly emerging butterfly species by isolating molecular DNA and the results showed that they had a very different molecular sign than the Fritillary butterflies.

Not only that, Fritillary Acentria is the first new butterfly discovered in Israel after 109 years. Vladimir Lukhtanov of the Institute of Zoology in St. Petersburg said: " It is amazing that no one has discovered it for a very long time ."

Researchers on beetles, butterflies and moths said: "The latest analysis samples are not correlated with Persian fritillary butterflies. So the best way is to have organ and DNA surgery. This new species is not yet available, 'Lukhtanov said.

Fritillary Acentria is endemic in northern Israel and neighboring regions of Syria and Lebanon. Its evolutionary history seems to be very interesting, the researchers said.

This research has just been published in Comparative Cytogenetics.
