Surface Go 2 launch: Price from 399 USD, 10.5 inch screen, upgraded configuration
The second version of the cheap Surface Go tablet-hybrid-laptop saw a slight upgrade to the screen, configuration and battery life.
Microsoft recently launched a new version of its Surface Go. Called Surface Go 2, this is a hybrid laptop tablet with compact size and low price, serving the needs of simple and mobile work of some users.
Bigger screen, slimmer border
One of the most common complaints of the first generation Surface Go is the thick screen bezel. Microsoft has somewhat overcome this problem on Surface Go 2 when the screen border has been narrowed.
In addition to increasing aesthetics, this also helps the Surface Go 2 has a larger screen size, reaching 10.5 inches (compared to 10 inches of the first generation). This screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1280 (3: 2 aspect ratio) and supports the Surface Pen.
Due to the overall size remains the same, Surface Go 2 is fully compatible with the Type Cover keyboard accessory of Surface Go 1.
Configuration and upgraded battery life
The standard version of Surface Go 2 still uses the same Pentium Gold 4425Y chip as the first generation, for relatively limited performance. However, users can completely spend more money to get a version with a more powerful Core m3-8100Y chip.
Surface Go 2 versions are also differentiated in terms of RAM capacity, internal memory capacity and the type of internal memory (SSD / eMMC), detailed at the price below.
Another factor that has also been upgraded on the Surface Go 2 is battery life. Microsoft said it was able to integrate a larger battery on the Surface Go 2, for 10 hours of use time (compared to 9 hours of the previous generation).
