Not until January 9, yesterday Sony put on its official website the new "P-series" laptop, the device considered its netbook was rumored long ago.

The P-series represents a Sony mobile computer, which has an 8-inch screen, but ultra-high resolution, up to 1,600 x 768 pixels, LED backlit screen.

Sony's new laptop is equipped with a 60 GB to 128 GB hard drive. In particular, the 60 GB standard is a regular hard drive, and 128 GB is a solid-state SSD, the price will be very high if Sony uses this new storage standard. The Vaio P-series runs on an Intel 1.33 GHz processor, most likely the Atom Z520.

The first impression is that the P-series has no limited configuration with a traditional netbook. Moreover, it is possible that the price will be higher by high-end equipment. Maybe, the Japanese manufacturer will offer a mini laptop with a netbook design but the price will bring its own mark, expensive and classy.

After several hours of putting the P-series on the website, Sony pulled back. The company has yet to give an additional explanation or information about the new device.
