This is a required parameter.

Specify the path and file name for the security template to be authenticated.

Secedit command: validate

  1. Validating security patterns will be useful if a template is corrupted or installed incorrectly.
  2. An invalid security form will not be applicable.
  3. The log file will not be updated.
  4. Starting withWindows Server 2008, the Secedit / refreshpolicy subcommand has been replaced with gpupdate.For more information on how to refresh security settings, see the Gpupdate command.

After the rollback process is performed on a security template, you want to verify that the inf rollback, secRBKcontoso.inf file, is valid, enter:

 Secedit / validate secRBKcontoso.inf
