Microsoft speeds up Windows 11 deployment because of positive user feedback
In a newly shared blog post, the software giant Microsoft said it will accelerate the rollout of Windows 10. The reason is because Microsoft feels satisfied with the process of updating Windows 11 from the start. up to now.
"Based on the update experience and positive user feedback we've seen to date, we're accelerating the rollout of Windows 11 faster than we ever anticipated. Now, we've extended the delivery of Windows 11 updates to eligible Windows 10 devices," Microsoft said.
Emphasizing "eligible Windows 10 devices", Microsoft notes that in order to update to Windows 11 your machine must be running Windows 10 version 2004 or later and have updated the security patch released on 9/14/ 2021. And although it doesn't specify, it is certain that only devices that meet Microsoft's minimum hardware requirements will be upgraded to Windows 11.
Microsoft also reminds users that Windows 10 version 2004 will be discontinued from December 14, 2021, so there will be no new updates after that. Therefore, Windows 10 2004 users should consider upgrading to Windows 11 or a later version of Windows 10 as soon as possible.
Recently, Microsoft has also started rolling out Windows 10 21H2 with a few new features. After version 21H2, users have to wait until the end of next year to receive new feature updates of Windows 10. The reason is because Microsoft officially started the once-a-year update schedule for Windows 10.
