Microsoft starts automatically updating Windows 10 2004 to Windows 10 21H1
Previously, in 2019, Microsoft made an announcement about its plan to apply machine learning technology to improve the reliability, accuracy, and experience of Windows Update. Specifically, artificial intelligence algorithms developed by Microsoft themselves will take on the task of detecting potential issues faster, as well as helping Redmond experts decide the best time to deploy the update. new for users to limit any unexpected problems that may occur.
Last month, Microsoft released Windows 10 feature update 21H1, also known as the May 2021 Update, to Windows 10 global users as an optional update, which was manually deployed through the feature. 'Check for updates' feature in Windows Update.
However, starting June 2nd, Microsoft announced that it has automatically upgraded Windows 10 2004 devices to Windows 10 21H1, as part of its plan to train its machine learning algorithms. Talking about this plan, Microsoft said:
'We've begun the first phase of rolling out training of machine learning (ML) algorithms, targeting Windows 10 devices running on version 2004 through automatic updates to Windows 10 versions 21H1. We'll continue to train the algorithms through the entire process needed to intelligently deploy new versions of Windows 10 and deliver a smooth update experience for users."
Microsoft says it is adjusting the availability of Windows 10 21H1 over the next few weeks. As a result, this update may not currently be available to all Windows 10 users.
In case you want to install Windows 10 21H1 immediately, you can go through the 'Check for updates' process in Windows Update, then click on the 'Download and install' option to start the update process.
Alternatively, you can also deploy the new update on your system using the Media Creation Tool or through WSUS.
