Lenovo has just introduced the ultra-thin ThinkPad X301 laptop to compete with Apple's MacBook Air. The X301 is the slimmest and lightest laptop in the ThinkPad X300 Series.
The ThinkPad X301 is only 13.3-inches thick and is equipped with the most advanced technology features. The weight is less than 3 pounds and the thinnest point is less than 1-inch. X301 is equipped with solid state SSD drive (64GB or 128GB); DDR3 RAM; Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 processor 1.2GHz or U9400 1.4GHz (both have 6MB L2 and FSB 1066MHz). Thanks to this chip, the performance of the X301 can be 20% higher than the previous X300 version.
With the ability to support both DisplayPort and VGA, the X301 allows users to view both HD content on different screens. It is also equipped with ultra-thin DVD burner; High-speed mobile broadband connection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Ultra-Wideband technology support.
The X301 also incorporates Lenovo's most advanced ThinkVantage technologies, optimizing user efficiency, saving energy, and connecting to the Internet easily, as well as providing a simpler and more user-friendly interface.
The starting price of the ThinkPad X301 is $ 2,599, and is expected to be available on August 26th.
