The ThinkPad X1 Carbon - ultrabook 14 inch is surprisingly light
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon weighs only 1.36kg, which Lenovo calls the world's lightest 14-inch ultrabook, just launched with ThinkPad laptop series using Intel's Ivy Bridge processor.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon has a 14-inch, 18mm-thick screen. The device uses Intel's latest ultrabook processor, the name Ivy Bridge, is expected to be officially announced by Intel next month. Machine has a frame made of carbon fiber material so thin and light but still sturdy.
Though slim and light, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon is still equipped with a backlit and deep keyboard, smooth trackpad, mouse-dragged "eraser" , USB 3.0 and 2.0 communication ports, Mini DisplayPort, SD card slot and reader Fingerprint. The frame is covered with a soft, anti-fingerprint rubber layer, which gives a pleasant feeling when exposed. The screen has a resolution of 1600 x 900, 300 nit brightness, using the Vibrant Hi-Resolution technology.
Lenovo did not specify the price of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, but said the product will be available in the next few months.
The screen and keyboard of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon can expand to 180 degrees.
Lenovo also upgraded the ThinkPad T-series and X-series to help with longer battery life and faster performance. The company adds multimedia capabilities and new connectivity to these computers. Expected products will be released on June 5, 2012.
Dilip Bhatia, vice president and general manager of the ThinkPad business division, said this is the first time a 4G mobile broadband connection is equipped on ThinkPad computers, including the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. The 4G broadband connection service on ThinkPad computers will first be used in the US and some other countries, costing about US $ 1.99 / 30 minutes (~ 41 thousand dong). Lenovo is currently working with telecom companies around the world to bring the service to many ThinkPad users soon.

Lenovo says the 12.5-inch ThinkPad X230 model offers extended battery options that allow up to 24 hours of battery life. The ThinkPad X230T has the same configuration as the ThinkPad X230, but is equipped with a touch screen, easily converted into a tablet. The ThinkPad X230 is priced from US $ 1179 (~ 24.7 million), the ThinkPad X230T costs from US $ 1479 (~ 31 million).
The ThinkPad X230T model comes with a 12.5-inch touch screen, extended battery options that allow up to 24 hours of battery life.
The T-series series include Lenovo's ThinkPad T430, T430s, and T530 updated with high-definition screen, a 30-hour battery life with additional batteries. ThinkPad T430 priced from US $ 879 (~ 18.5 million), T430s cost from US $ 1399 (~ 29.3 million), Lenovo did not announce the price of T530. The ThinkPad L430 and L530 feature new and slimmer chips, priced from $ 879 (~ 18.5 million), both with 14-inch or 15-inch screens.
