Alibaba chairman has good reasons to think so. This is Jack Ma's view of Alpha Go.

Go-go grandmaster Ke Jie of China, who is the world leader in the department, lost to AlphaGo in three matches that took place at the end of May, in Zhejiang Province.

After the match, Jack Ma said: "Before the go-ahead game, many people thought that humans would prevail over AlphaGo, then when people lost, they thought that machines would prevail over humans. But for me, I don't really care, I really recommend that businesses in the same field do not develop things like AlphaGo, because it's meaningless, we can do many things. more useful ".

Speaking at the exhibition, Jack Ma said:

" I think that machines should have their own way of thinking. Machines should do what people can't do. Take a recent hot topic, for example: Ke Jie's Go-match match with Google AlphaGo.

I really don't support this, especially when it comes from Chinese companies: Don't do things like AlphaGo. It is meaningless. Because there are many things you can do [with artificial intelligence]. Playing Go is basically a fun game. All is waiting for your opponent to make mistakes and take advantage of that. But machines never make mistakes. They are logical, objective and faster than you. You think 3 steps ahead but they have thought of 300 steps ahead. And they never make mistakes! What is the problem?

[AlphaGo] takes away our joy and humiliates us. We can never defeat it. I thought so from the moment it was created. People should admit it. We will never have more muscle strength than a crane. From the first day, we need to understand: We never run faster than a train or an airplane. Since the computer was invented, we can feel that we need to redefine because in terms of computing, storage, logic and persistence, we can never defeat them.

So I think that is something that people need to think about. Machines need to have their own methods and ways of thinking, can integrate with people, animals and everything, giving machines a way to think so they can do what people do impossible ".

This is not the first time Jack Ma has expressed a "do not like" Alpha Go viewpoint, in April 2017, at the China Information Technology Conference, held in Shenzhen, he said: "All Everyone talks about how great AlphaGo is, but I personally feel 'so what?' ".

"So what?" in English is an idiom that is often used when expressing an attitude that is not very polite, challenging, translated into Vietnamese with many meanings, such as: what then; and then; what's so terrible, why? .
