Intel's first discrete GPU with shock-absorbing heatsink, full-color RGB LED

After announcing the DG1 discrete video card, Intel recently introduced the DG1 Xe-LP chip, a discrete graphics card version for independent software vendors.

After announcing the DG1 discrete video card, Intel recently introduced the DG1 Xe-LP chip, a discrete graphics card version for independent software vendors.

The card does not have a secondary power port, the PCIe connector is of the x16 type but it is still not clear whether it uses all 16 lanes, and is a 3.0 or 4.0 standard.

This card is equipped with 1 HDMI port and 3 DisplayPort ports on the back. This means it supports exporting content to 4 screens.

The case is made of metal and the heatsink is designed like a shocking cage of an NVIDIA GTX 10-series Founders Edition card.

The back of the card is a metal backplate, which has the Xe logo and the words 'Software Development Vehicle'. Along the tail of the card is a row of LEDs, which can be customized into different colors.

Intel demoed the card with a Warframe game in 1080p. As observed by tom's HARDWARE, the game runs slowly and has the phenomenon of tearing, jerky lag. I don't know at what level Intel is running, but this is not a very positive signal. Hopefully, with the official version of DG1, Intel will have significant improvements.

Currently, other information about this video card as well as DG1 GPU chip has not been disclosed by Intel.
